Johann Andreas Stein’s pianos were admired by the young Mozart, and this instrument is perfect for a wide range of early Classical solo repertoire (C.P.E. and J.S. Bach, Haydn, early Mozart and their contemporaries). It is also an excellent continuo instrument, projecting across the ensemble texture beautifully.
